
Kevin Bitterman, Assistant Director of International Programs, Theatre Communications Group, has worked as an actor, director and producer with Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Theater Latte Da, St. John’s Boys’ Choir, American Repertory Theatre and the La Jolla Playhouse. Most recently, Mr. Bitterman co-produced a symposium on international approaches to site-specific work during the New Island Festival with the Dutch Consulate General of New York and Theatre Institute Netherlands and organized a delegation of TCG Member Theatres to attend the 2010 Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá. As a member of the ITI New Project Group and Young Practitioners Committee, he continues to develop international projects for the biannual ITI World Congress, including the BORGES Project (2006, Manila) and IfDENTITY (2008, Madrid). In addition to his artistic work, he was an artist-in-residence at the Fondation des Etats-Unis, Paris France, while he taught dramatic literature at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués. Kevin is a graduate of the Ecole Jacques Lecoq and holds a B.A in Theatre and Communication from St. John’s University. Since 2008, he has worked with artists and cultural leaders to establish connections through the programs and services of TCG and ITI-US.
