Juanita Rockwell is a writer and director, developing new works for theatre, opera, multi-media and radio for over two decades at such theatres as The Ontological, Mabou Mines/Suite, Blue Heron, Culture Project (NYC); City Theatre (Pittsburgh); Gas & Electric Arts (Phila); Source (DC), Theatre Project, Single Carrot (Balto); Teatro Municipão (São Paulo); Abya Yala (San José, CR); RS9 (Budapest). She was Artistic Director of Hartford's Company One Theater for six years in the nineties, and then founded the MFA in Theatre Program at Towson University, where she continues to teach.
