
Jenni Werner is the director of programming at TCG and oversees the programs and services department, which includes the field convenings, professional development, research, field communications, grantmaking and international activities at TCG. Since May, 2005, she has produced TCG’s annual National Conference, working with staff and board to curate the content and organize the logistics for the largest national gathering of the non-profit theatre field. Ms. Werner joined TCG in 2001 as an artistic programs associate, administering the New Generations Program, the Observership Program, the Alan Schneider Director Award and the AT&T:OnStage Program. Ms. Werner is also a freelance dramaturg and an adjunct instructor in the Program in Educational Theatre in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development at New York University. Previously, Ms. Werner was the program coordinator for the Empire State Partnerships, an arts-in-education initiative of the New York State Council on the Arts and before that, the interim director of education and producer of the international, interdisciplinary conference, Intersection II, for New WORLD Theater in Amherst, Mass. Ms. Werner has an M.F.A. in dramaturgy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a B.A. in theatre and history from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
