Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Erik Schroeder attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota, where he studied Interdisciplinary Fine Arts and Management. During his academic career he interned at The Madison Repertory Theatre in Wisconsin, The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis, and Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago, where he joined the fulltime staff in 2003. In 2005 Erik took the position of Marketing Manager for the fledgling Chicago Children's Theatre. In early 2008 Erik returned to Lookingglass as Director of Marketing. Erik has served as co-chair of the Chicago Family Theatre Alliance, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for The Hypocrites. He has spoken on the subject of arts marketing for the Chicago Community Trust, DePaul University, Columbia College, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Loyola University and the University of Chicago Graham School of Business.
