David Sonkin is a leader in mobile content solutions. His own words tell the rest of the story.
“Why are bios always written in the third person? Like that first line above – it just sounds so bizarre. Bios often read like a eulogy and awkwardly reference things like children and favorite foods. Just so odd. Anyway, my “bio” is a work in progress – perhaps more of a blog, if I may be so contemporary. Maybe I should refer to it as my bl-eye-o. Anyway, if you want to know who I am as of the spring 2010, here is what I can tell you.
Businesses are more readily acknowledging the extraordinary momentum and considerable value of the mobile consumer. By the way, I tend not to spew much in the way of statistics because data on the mobile landscape is just changing too fast. Just choose a few words such as “mobile”, “marketing”, “statistics”, “mobile web”, “mobile apps”, “mobile advertising” (I could go on). Jumble them up and slap them into your search engine of choice. Other than the returns featuring Mobile, Alabama, you’ll find seemingly countless (although Google will be more than happy to count them for you) sites, companies, and products with convincing information quantifying the value of the mobile world. So businesses should do some poking around just to get a flavor for what’s cookin’ out there. What those businesses do not need to do however, is learn a whole new language in order to take advantage of this explosive medium.
I conceived of Mobile Caviar with one specific goal in mind – to create a unified content platform to enable all participants on the mobile plane to effectively interact in a manner beneficial to all. Since igniting that thought into action, Mobile Caviar has been providing truly comprehensive and client-specific mobile content solutions for a wide variety of businesses. We afford our clients the opportunity to check off that often burdensome task on their do-to list which usually reads something along the lines of, “go mobile soon”.
Equally important is our drive to provide solutions which are unique and affordable. Our value proposition is driven by a singular question which we ask ourselves literally every day – “what’s going on in our client’s world today, and how can we help today?" - even if they haven’t asked for our help today!
And what about me? Right, the whole bio thing. Well, keeping me busy on the theatre side I’m having a blast doing the mobile work for ASU Gammage at Arizona State University, the Broadway Green Alliance, and prepping the 9 to 5 The Musical mobile site for its upcoming national tour (we were thrilled to support the show on Broadway and equally excited about promoting the tour on mobile). Other neat stuff (yes, I really said neat – I’m also fond of groovy) includes one of our favorite hotels on the planet, The Benjamin in NYC. For those of you who are kind enough (or bored enough) have made it this far in my bio, I’ll leave it at this. If you are interested in checking out some of our client work, just text MOBILE to 99222 where you’ll find a bunch of groovy stuff (there, I said it).
Oh, late bio entry. Did I mention that I am totally jazzed about speaking at the 2010 TCG National Conference. Theatre folk – luuuuvvvv them!”
We now return you to your regularly scheduled bio reading.
