
Antonio Sonera has been working professionally for 24 years. He has been an actor, stage manager, production manager, director, educator, artistic director and theatre advocate. His directing credits include: Un Christmas Cuento, Cuentos, Voces de Christmas, Cafe con Leche, Burning Patience, El Paso Blue, The American Sueño, Life is a Dream, References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, The True History of Coca-Cola in Mexico, Mariela in the Desert, El Grito del Bronx, and How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents for the Miracle Theatre, Sticks and Bones for Paula Productions, Death and the Maiden for Theatre Vertigo, Concrete Symphony and Northbound Train for 24 Hour Plays, Handler for Portland Actors Conservatory, the world premiere of Jingle Spree (Winner of the Drammy for Best Original Script), and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune for CoHo Productions, the world premiere of Goa for Tabuki Theatre, the world premiere of Rocketman for BaseRoots Theatre Company and Topdog/Underdog for Artists Repertory Theatre. He directed two national educational touring productions for CLIMB Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Antonio is the recipient of the Theatre Communications Group, Next Generation: Future Leaders in American Theatre grant, and is working at the Miracle Theatre as the Associate Director
In his spare time he enjoys Flamenco and Texas Hold Em.
